# Do I need an account to receive money?

You don't need to download an app or open a bank account to receive money with Moov Money. You just open the link and follow a few quick steps.

To keep the network safe, you do need to **verify your phone number** before you can receive money. We'll also securely store the card information you provide so the money can reach you. After your first payment, you can create a **passkey** for faster access next time.

## What you'll need

- The **secure link** from the sender. This link always starts with `https://moov.money/c/`

- Your **phone** to receive a one-time verification code (or a passkey if you've set one up).
- A **US-issued Visa or Mastercard debit card**, or Apple Pay or Google Pay.

## Good to know

- There's no balance to manage; money goes straight to your card or wallet.
- Verifying your phone number helps make sure money reaches the right person and helps keep the network safe.
