What information Moov Money collects
To send and receive money safely, Moov Money uses a small amount of information. Here's an overview of what that includes and why.
What we use
Your phone number, to verify it's you and to help make sure money reaches the right person.
Your card or wallet information, meaning the debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay you use to receive money. This is stored securely so you can get paid.
Basic name information, so payments can be associated with the right person.
Your contacts, when you've allowed it, so we can show real names instead of phone numbers and flag when a name doesn't match the account you're about to pay. You control this.
Information that helps keep the network safe, used to detect and prevent fraud.
How it's protected
Card details are entered through a secure, encrypted form.
We store the information needed to receive money securely.
We monitor for suspicious activity to help protect you and the network.
What you control
Contact access, granted in your phone's settings. On iPhone you can share all of your contacts or pick specific ones.
Contact syncing, which you can switch off at any time under Account, then Privacy & Security.
Who can reach you, by blocking anyone you don't want sending you money or asking you for it.
